Crank Pulley Bolt Stuck - HELP

Hey Pelicaners -

I am pulling apart my 3L 930 engine for a rebuild - and have run into an issue. I am down to the crank pulley and can not get the center bolt loosened.

I have tried a nice long breaker bar - 1ft.
I have tried a longer breaker bar - 2ft.
I have tried a longer breaker bar with a pipe extension - 4 ft.
I have tried my impact wrench.

Yes - I have a flywheel lock in place and am turning everything the right direction - I think.

Yes - I have done a few searches - but have not turned up anything.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Outlaw if it is the same as a 3.2 then the back side of the bolt has (teeth) and it is a bear to get off.

I used an electric impact wrench and I had the crank out of the case.

I used a impact on it, cranking up the pressure. This loosened it up where I could get it off with a 3 ft breaker bar. It is right-hand threaded, so ccw is the direction you want to go.

I dont have enough volume and run into the problem occasionally. I split the case and take the crank to the tire store and a couple of hits on his gun, off it comes...

Someone may have used lock tight on the threads.Heat it up to around three hundred. The heat will soften the lock tight.

She came off!!!!

Thanks for the guidance guys - I was able to get the pulley bolt out with limited drama.

I guess I scared it when I broke out the 4 ft cheater bar, and it came right out.

Cracked the case - what an ugly, stinky, dirty mess...but nothing broken - a good sign. Will start a new thread on the rebuild.
