hylomar as a case half sealant?

as I approach another engine build I'm looking at options. I seem to remember that someone here was going to try using hylomar as a case half sealant. anyone know the thread, or have any input? Don.

Don, I don't know that thread but I do know that Henry @ Supertec has a lot of experience in case sealing. Search him and you'll see that the are several sealants recommended for different mating surfaces. Different types of sealants do a better job in specific applications than do others.

The thread shows where to use what, how to put it on and how much and what to be watchful of. Lots of feedback.
