Nose bearing

Can a fan belt installed too tight for a short period of time cause the nose bearing to leak oil? It leaks at the o-ring seal not the shaft seal.

The only solution I see is to tear it apart again. Just wondering if there were any miracle tricks before I do that.

None I can think of.

I put the orange loctite sealant on the lip of the bearing between the O ring and daylight, just as a precaution. If you don't go overboard, you won't compromise the ring and its groove.
