when you say other side do you mean the other half of the case ? the other side is

i was just going to put the engine as is in to my 914 swap but I plan on down the road putting on webers and some jerry woods cams and valve train and some forged hi comp pistons or s pistons ..

Yes, so you have a 3R/3R case combo, and from my data that combo was used during 1971.
