Exhaust Stud

I had several bad exhaust studs removed when my heads were recently re-furbished. Studs are 8x1.25x45mm OAL. Where does anyone get replacements at a decent price? My current ideas are: Buy 1000 mm of grade 8 threaded rod from McMaster, cut my own (kinda wacky idea), only costs $10 plus shipping.
Buy some 8x1.25 bolts fully threaded and just cut the heads off, size the length on the grinder. Better ideas, missing anything to consider ?

I looked

I guess I only did a cursory look. They are not listed with exhaust hardware where the nuts are. I'll go back and look around more. I've mentioned at Pelican that the web-site could use work, they say its definately coming.
Thanks

Stud Length Now

They are either 50mm long for $4 or 51mm long for $3.25. Both are several mm too long (mine were 45mm) so the Barrel Nuts may not fit correctly. Looks like I'd have to cut them down either way so just get the less$ 51mm or back to getting a piece of threaded rod and cut my own. The new "exhaust gaskets are much thicker than what came off (what I could tell of it) so that helps some. Can't remember if there were washers, they're usually a good idea. I have 21mm thick flange so clearance gets a bit tight for tools if you add too much new hardware.

That is interesting. What is Year of your car? Stock exhaust? Maybe some experts will weigh in.

Exhaust Stud Length

A very standard 87 911 Carrera. Has the "thick" flanges and nice access holes through the HE to get to the Barrel Nuts. I don't think my exhaust had ever been off till I did it a month ago. Actually came off pretty easy, no heat req.. New studs at $3.75 each don't sound too bad as they'd be zinc coated. When/if I cut em, the coating on the end will go away. Be interesting to see what if anything others have done.

This set looks interesting, however the stud is too short. Any good tips on replacing all the hardware when you have the studs out already?

Stud Length

I made a decision today to buy 1 meter of threaded alloy 8x1.25 rod from McMaster and make them myself. $10 for a lifetime supply. Those anti-corrosive studs from Pelican/Casper Labs would be great but didn't want to deal with the length issue via two suppliers. 15 minutes with a cutoff saw and and a little touch-up at the grinder I should be putting them in. Trying finally not to overthink this item. Buy some new Barrel Nuts from our host and use regular hex nuts on the other 6 studs. Thats what the factory had on there that I took off.
