Supertec Palymid Fuel lines
Supertec MFI Pulley set

*****For those of you paying attention: you're right. The pictures show two oil sending units. That illustrates a mid course correction. Only the rear sender was used.******

Absolutely a work of art. Nice work Henry.

mamut 02-24-2011 01:46 PM

Henry, nice work. Do you test bench (dyno) the engines before they go out? ,cheers.

356RS 02-24-2011 01:57 PM

Excellent Henry as we have come use to. Dyno numbers would be great.

Henry Schmidt 02-24-2011 03:03 PM

We no longer dyno engines. We leave the tuning to the owner of the vehicle.
We count on the owners to select a tuner with the expertise they require.
These engines generally produce about 275 hp. The SSI and mufflers offer a bit of a tuning challenge.
With a proper size header these engines will produce close to 300hp on street gas.

I want to go to there.

Purdy.

Great Henry!
Now that it's ready - I'm PM'ing my address to you for the shipment!

Carrerax 02-25-2011 08:29 AM

Beautiful engine!! How much do you sell the degree'd pulley for? I could really use one!

"3.6 milllllllion-plus pounds of thrust" oh wait, that's the space shuttle....... sorry, move along.SmileWavy

Henry....is there a reason for using the smaller oil pump?
Would the Turbo or larger style not be better...or does the pump have enough volume already?
Bob

Henry Schmidt 02-25-2011 12:37 PM

The Carrera pump with the Supertec flow modification is more than adequate for the intended use of this engine (street performance).

We strive to build an engine that is appropriate for the customer so although the larger pumps as well as things like Carillo or titanium rods are included on the option sheet, we advised against over the top options.

I guess I will come out of the shadows - that is my engine that Henry just finished. It's currently crossing the country (don't anyone think of ambushing the stage coach!) It's due to arrive Tuesday and doubt I'll sleep until then. Henry has been absolutely great to work with.

Out came the 2.7 (webers, RS P&Cs, S cams, ported)

While it was out I repainted the engine bay and am generally redoing the plumbing and electrical.

Here is the car that will house Henry's creation - at least for a while ;)

I still have quite a bit to do but really need the engine in front of me to plan the rest out - lucky for me there's still 4-5 months of winter left.

I'll post updates

Don

Hi Don
Welcome to your thread.
It will be fun to watch this project move into the next stage.
Keep posting pictures.
Cheers
