Tuned Headers --- Porting Exhaust Ports from 35mm to 43mm?
I am upgrading my exhaust from SSI's to custom 41.2mm ID tuned, equal leangth headers. My current ports are 35mm with no step.
I am going to open up the ports to accept the gasket blow out sleeve from the headers. Are there any special considerations I should be aware of while doing this? I plan on creating a smooth trasnsition from the ports to the sleeve; should I widen the top off the port to about 45mm and then taper the port down to a 43mm step with a edge to butt the gasket sleeve?
