Pakalika,
First, WELCOME to the Forum
You will find a lot of help here.

Congratulations, you found one of the great Porsches.
Pictures please.

How long have you been driving it? How many miles? (1 week? 2000 mi?)
Did you go through the initial projects previously suggested?
How much sustained full throttle?
It may be the recommendation is to add more miles before making decisions.
There hasn’t been a car made that the driver hasn’t said “How do I get more power?”
You are in good company.

Before you light into any mods, perform several ‘services’ and diagnostic tests.
Having a history of cranking compression tests and cylinder leak tests will give you a lot of insight.

While there are a lot of wonderful things you can do for your 911 Carrera 3.2 engine, the best is to just drive and enjoy.

The easiest and vary common mod for your car is a ‘chip’.
Search Pelican and you will find a lot of worthwhile discussion.
You can describe your use and a custom chip can be ‘burned’.
If you don’t like it, you can reinstall your original or make a new chip (most like it).

Are you inclined to DIY engines?
If so, you might consider buying another and modifying it at your leisure.
There are lots of threads about this.
The basics are: increased displacement, increased compression ratio (CR), twin ignition, ‘improved’ cams, back-date exhaust and even changed induction.

Like everything automotive, it is the art of compromise.
For example, a significant increase in CR may require using very high octane (100+) fuel.

Another issue is your 911 needing to comply with state emissions regulations.
Know the issues before you start changing things.
This is an area where a second (high performance) engine can be replaced with your original complying engine.

Whatever mods you do, it is very desirable to maintain the ability to return to original.

Spring is coming to the ‘Windy City’.
Go driving.
If you need some encouragement, join PCA or get together with local Pelicans.
Very soon there will be track days at Road America.

Best,
Grady

PS: You can get a Moderator to move this thread to the 911 Technical Forum and get far more response.
