Ignition System

During a test day at Road Atlanta this week, my Pertronix pickup decided to start acting funny. It would cut off as I was headed to the grid. Never saw the track, grrrr.

Came home and replaced the Pertronix with a Hot Spark unit. I really liked the fit of the Hot Spark. Only problem was it was DOA. I am running a MSD 6T box and the wiring is correct per Hot Sparks web site.

I am finding these in distributor triggers are not very reliable. I know with the Pertronix if you leave your igintion on and the magnet lines up with the sensor it will fry the unit. Lets just say I have actual data on this.

I am now thinking alternatives to these two. Ignitions are free in my class. I would prefer to not break the bank and I will need the abiblity to go twin plug for my next engine.

What would you do?
