Where to source a 964 engine for conversion

Looking to buy a 964 engine to throw in my '74 911. Recently there has been no action on ebay and LA porsche dismantler has claimed to be out of them for now. I plan on a full rebuild (with possibly new P&C's and Rothsport's slide valve setup). I guess I could also do with a long block, instead of purchasing a fresh pick out of a 964.

What are other sources to purchase the 964 engine? Thanks for all input.

[PS I have done a lot of searching as I am new to this game, I know of Timmins and PMS; however, it seems like they want top dollar for their crates and reviews are mixed.]

Check the 964 Forum. There is an engine and tranny for sale posted yesterday. Trannys are probably even rarer than engines these days.

Just curious...what made you choose a 964 engine vs 993 engine? I've considered this for my car...as well as a bunch of other scenarios, but always thought I would go with a 993 engine.
