cam timing question

Hi all, this is my first rebuild, sorry if this is a dumb question. i did not separate the cam housing just had the whole assemble cleaned and checked for any problems . Since i did not move anything or take anything apart is the process for timing the cams different . I took the cam housing off at top dead center. thanks ed

Hard to understand exactly what you have done - you cant remove the cam housing without removing the timing sprockets - in which case you have to re time it.

You didn't separate the cam housing from what? The heads? I'm confused...

You MUST re-time the cams, no question.
