Is valve guide boss repair on head possible?

Is this head repairable or is it junk? It was this way when I bought it, and discovered this during a tear down.

Anything can be repaired, that looks like it may have been welded at one point. The repair may cost more than a good used head, what motor?

It a well used, plain-Jane 2.4 E motor. I was planning to make it a mild 2.5 race motor.

Could not get it done on this one for less than cost of a refurbushed one..

This work almost always costs more than a refurbished head for sure. In basic steps I do it by removing the guide, welding up the entire area, setting it up in a mill and boring the guide hole back in, then machining the port boss and testing on a flow bench to get that port back to where it needs to be flow wise. Just alot of labor to do it right.
