FEBI or MAHLE Rocker Arm Shafts?
I have been looking to source a new set of rocker arm shafts for my rebuild and was wondering if one brand was better than the other.
I noticed that some sites sell the Febi brand and our Host has the Mahle-Wizemann. Does anybody have any experience or opinion of these two brands? They are both listed as OE but I think I read that one was a few tenths smaller in diameter and may cause problems. Anyone? |

Mahle
I bought these Pelican Parts - Product Information: 901-105-342-04-M196 from our host and they fit nicely in newly bushed rockers and lock up in the cam housing before final torque, which is nice cuz you don't have to hold the other end while torqing
![]() To be safe, I also replaced the cone nuts and bushings and the allen bolts at the same time...

Febi is sometimes listed as Febi-Bilstein too. That said, i'd lean towards the Mahle brand. I've had some Febi electronic parts (BMW E39 ambient temp sensor) that were crap. Plus it's good to support Pelican on their own site.

Thanks guys, I'll order a set of the Mahle ones and skip the Febi Ones.
