Camshaft serial numbers and markings

Can anyone please help me identify these cams?

3 journal, 47mm
no MFI drive

Serials:
901.105.109.1R AE2
901.105.110.01 AE1

Both have a small S punched on the end opposite to the drive sprocket.

They were taken off a 2.0L weber carburetted motor (901.2 #4081163).

I have been poring over the posts of the TB and I cannot find any mention of these serial numbers.
There is a post where a table with cam numbers is presented but not the ones on mine.

They will be used in a 2,7L S from 1976 with 40IDA Webers and 9.5:1 JE pistons.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

The casting is a Solex center lube #, but that does not mean you have solex cams. If there are oil holes in the lobes, then they are original Solex. IIRC back in the day, if you bought a replacement set of cams from Porsche, they used the old solex blanks to use up that dead inventory. It may not have been Porsche, it could have been an aftermarket souce that bought out the blanks.

Hmmm,
That's interesting.

Meantime I got a lead on the engine serial number.

It corresponds to a 1968 2.0S targa.

The casting markings would indicate that these are either Solex or L cams.

Carquip, Porsche 911 Camshafts

You can measure the intake and exhaust lobes with a hand held caliper and compare to the numbers in the table to determine which ones they are.

Those camshafts are most likely have the S profile. I have the identical set right now with the exact casting numbers, and they are S cams. The very early cams shared some of the same castings.

Tom
Yeah, I had already looked at Carquips chart, but it's the '1R' that keeps throwing me.

John, that's what I was told to begin with, that they are S profile. I'll measure them and see what they are.

BTW, they are For Sale, and i want to make sure I know what I'm selling before I offer them up.
I've got a set of Elgin STD 66 Solex cams too for sale. Dema Elgin says they make a great autocross-agressive street cam, but not too agressive like a full 'S'. Flat tq curve...very popular for 10 or 10.5:1 compression engines.
