				3.4 Rebuild and Upgrade

I am rebuilding my 3.4 (originally 3.2 Carrera) engine. It has 98 mm JE pistons and 11.5 CR. Reason: Broken rings due to detonation. Splitter for Twin spark stopped working and possibly poor fuel at sea level race. Car normally operates at + 5000 ft. I want to increase power but funds are lacking for a full new throttle bodies, ECU .... package or PMO carbs. I want to use the standard 3.2 intake manifold and throttle body but dump the air flow meter. Also add a throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and up the fuel pressure to what is required. (also Lambda, air pressure etc). I am running a DASTEK programmable piggyback ECU. The car will then remain complient for historic racing. The current cam is a reprofiled standard cam with more duration and overlap. (something like a 964 RS cam) fairly mild. Questions: 1. Can what I intend work or is it a waste of time? 2. Can I run a S cam (or GE60 or GE80) or is there too much overlap for the manifold? 3. If not what other cam can I run that will make power with this manifold? 4. Any other suggestion? (like sombody wants to give away a full TeC3 package (he-he) | ||
