This is what I run on my twin-plugged turbo with a full-bay intercooler.

This thread has a few ignition maps. There are other threads out there on Pelican as well. The megasquirt forums have many maps that people have uploaded as examples as well.
W tuning programmable engine management systems Good discussions all the way through the thread

More advance means worse fuel economy as engine needs to work harder against combustion during low loads.

Swade. I could not find on the ms forums any maps for 911s. The thread you pointed to looks to contain the motronic maps, which while i have them, if i can find ms ones i wont have to extrapolate the data

Note that the 25 degrees are in areas of the map that are only encountered if the engine is dropping off of full throttle or has slowed down too much (MAP readings of 20 or below or RPM less than 400 in non-start mode). The extra timing helps to prevent a stall when coming off of throttle. It is a rarely encountered state. Why 15 degrees at idle? This engine feels perkier at that setting. Yours might feel different unless you've got similar compression, intercooling, cams, etc. This is one of those situations where it works fine in practice but will never, ever work in theory.

I tuned 964 engine with 5gas analyzer and the engine idled smoother and burn was cleaner (less NOx) with lower advance, also fuel consumption on idle was down. No issues with throttle response either, engine is very crisp.
Do you have ignition based idle control? That would neglect the need for such steps in ign table as it would hold the rpm steady by adjusting advance automatically (compensates for power steering, aircon etc).
