Currently available rings for 3.6 964 NA
I'm re-ringing the motor in my 964 during a top end rebuild to stock specs. My machine shop is experienced with nikasil and has a hone set up for this purpose.
Both Mahle and Goetze are available here for $130/$162 for a kit. I see what looks like a great price from Porsche DE on "One Set Of Rings For Six Pistons." which I believe but am not sure means a kit for all six pistons: https://www.delawareporscheparts.com/oem-parts/porsche-piston-ring-set-96410392500 The money isn't the issue - I'd obviously like to get the best seating longest lasting rings I can. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks

When I rebuilt my 964, my cylinders were in excellent condition and I used the Goetze rings. Excellent compression, and the car is still running well (in the hands of a new owner).

Thanks for sharing that. Incidentally I confirmed the Porsche part I linked to is for ONE piston not six.
