mfi w/o heat exchangers
Hi to all ,
Has anyone been able to run an mfi without using heat exhanger? This mfi engine was purchasesd with headers , so there was no connection to the thermostat that would lean out the mixture. The engine is running rich and could not be tuned. Is there a way to run mfi without this heat exchanger thermostat connection or by pass this? Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance and regards to all, rommy |

There are cars that run without the thermostat. There is a modification you do to remove the thermostat and lock it out. I think Henry at Supertec has done this. Some also add a manual enrichment control so they can start the car easier when it's cold. Try some searches about MFI thermostat disabling, etc.

Andy is right. Henry sells this kit pictured below. I have installed this on a few cars and seems to work very well. The chrome lever installs next to your throttle lever. Run the cable from the new cold start kit on the pump to the lever inside.
