3.15 motor??
I'm thinking of getting my motor rebuilt this fall. An option that was mentioned was a "3.15ltr - popular IMSA motor back in the day".
Is this different from a 3.2SS motor? I've searched, and can't find any information on such a configuration. Anyone? Todd

Todd,
Those used a special Mahle 97mm P/C set which are not made any longer.

Worthwhile motor? Or just shoot for the 3.2 SS? (assuming the builder has the used parts available, which I think he does).

There is no replacement for displacement,...........
![]() I'd be using 98mm ones and make a 3.2.

Or combine a 3.2 crank/rods with a bigger bore kit for a 3.4...

FYI,
decent 97 MM Nickasil pistons and cylinders show up for small money, add custom pistons from JE or CP and there you go. 98 MM setup wins by a hair if you have the $$$$
