Weber Inlet Manifolds
I am looking to fit Weber 40 IDA type cars to an early 3.0SC.
I have original Weber Inlet Manifolds with a 32mm outlet to match an early port. The engine I have has 39mm ports. I have some spacers to blank off the injector and avoid air leaks. Do I need to open the manifolds to match or can I leave them alone. The engine has standard SC pistons and cams. |
You should match the manifolds to the ports on the heads. You can do this by modifying the phenolic spacers, or the more dramatic step of modifying the manifolds. I'd suggest not molesting the 32mm manifolds, sell those to someone with the smaller head ports and purchase other manifolds which will match with no or less modification.
You are leaving a lot on the table by not changing cams, and a bit by not changing pistons. I have a similar motor to yours running webers with DC60 cams, its a huge improvement over the stock SC cams. |

THESE MANIFOLDS HAVE SOLD*****
I have this set, not sure what the are for. I just cleaned them and measured each opening. This is all I have, no other bits to go with them. If you want them, make me an offer, I just have no idea what they are worth. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1343697442.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1343697465.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1343697487.jpg |
