Angry Alternator Issue??

I am in the final phase of rebuilding my motor for my project car. I was checking the alternator which was working fine when removed from my previous car three years ago and which has been in dry storage since. I started to turn the shaft. Bearings seem fine but it has a slight bind part way through a rotation. It is not a grind but rather a soft rubbing. Is this normal? Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, probably should have. Anyway, think I found the issue. One brush way short and only partially touching.
