flywheel convertion 911t 69?
among a lot of other issues, my flywheel is in bad shape, starter seems not to have fully engaged a few times and now some teeth are half ground of.
In their wisdom, Porsche made this one part, the flywheel and the ring gear. Has somebody converted the 65-69 flywheel to the newer style ring gear 70-? are they the same diameter to start with? And might it be worth? Will a 70 ring gear + flywheel also work on a 69T engine? Thanks Bernd |

Bernd, the 70-71 requires use of the 911 (as opposed to 901) gearbox. It is also 225mm.
The cup-type 215mm flywheel is your best bet, these are still available new.
