Pelican Parts - Porsche 911 Parts Listings & Diagrams

bob,
I'm trying to picture the small white squares you are talking about. Here is a link to the 1965 wiring diagrams on Pelican. Can you review the diagram and locate an example of the small white squares you are referring to? On this diagram, all of the components are numbered, so you can use that as a way to describe the location of the small white squares.

regards,
Al

Wiring diagram.........

The shapes you are asking about are most likely just connector points. If you look at the fuse panel area, you will see a small white spot at the end of each fuse. Those are screw connectors. Other shapes could mean a crimp on connector or a wiring master plug. Hope this helps.

Bob,

The small white (and red, and green) squares are a guide to tracing out the wires-- they represent a piece of colored tape on the end of the actual wire that makes it easier to identify which wire is actually which.

For example, on your "L57" diagram, look at the white wire for the high beam coming out of fuse #12. See the white box? Now trace that wire around to the "relay for light signal" terminal 56a. See the white box? And so forth. There are also green ones and red ones in the hazard/flasher system.

Hope this helps. I know WAY too much about SWB wiring, ask your questions here in as much detail as possible, including photos if you can, and we'll try to help.

However, if your original factory wiring has been modified, then Internet diagnosis is pretty much impossible.
