3.2 upgrade ??
I want to add more HP to my 84 3.2l I allready have a "20hp" chip on the ecu, headers and air intake any othe think I can do to my set???
In adition I need some recommendation ... open the engine to put 3.4l piston set or add a turbo to 4 to 5 pounds? what the best option for power, efficiency and economics??? Last edited by hyperkinesis; 01-13-2013 at 10:53 AM.. |

Here are some things that pay nice dividends:
1) 3.4 conversion 2) Twin-ignition 3) 964 cams 4) Extrude-hone intake manifolds Nothing here that compromises engine longevity like forced-induction does,.. ![]() There is a LOT more to do that includes a different intake system, however that will severely dent your wallet.

Search around a bit on the board. There's probably quite a few 3.2 to 3.4 conversion threads.
Start here for some ideas: Carrera Rebuild 10.3 Pistons & Cylinders

I think you can get some idea here:
911Chips - Porsche Dyno Runs What kind of power are you looking for? What kind of budget? If you go all out, $25k+, you can get 350 hp or so out of a ~3.5. Not sure what how much hp or $$ for going the turbo route, but some people think this is the most economical way to at least 350hp and beyond. You may want to look on the Turbo forum for more info there.
