Mahl 100mm Piston/Cyl set NIB

Many of you guys may have read some of the threads regarding my friend and fellow Pelican, Doug Kubany. He lived close by and was a good friend for many years. He has had several small and one major stroke beginning in July and now is in a dementia ward near his daughters' homes in Michigan. He'll likely never leave there. Me and another guy are just trying to sell some of this to help the family with his care...

Anyway, one of the things we found in his garage is a NIB set of 100mm Mahl Pistons and Cyl's. It states that they are for mid 80's 911 Carrera...see the label on the box. I did some looking and found today's retail price is in the mid $5K range. We're asking $5K even or best offer. You can reply to me here : drdogface@comcast.net

Personally, I'd love to know what HP gain these would provide...just curious...I'm presently Porsche-less

Here's some pix

I have just spoken to a factory rep who informed me that there never was any warrantee on these racing P&Cs

You're trying to sell these as new, so you should include more information to justify the price. Pics of each cylinder & piston, info on how long since purchase, pic of receipt.

Then there's probably the issue of warranty? I am not sure, but if someone was to buy a new set from Andial, for example, some sort of warranty is probably included.

Anyway, you might also try to see if someone like EBS might want to buy these for resale. Less money, but also less hassle and yo get your money right away.

I guess another option might be to try to return them to whoever they were purchased from. If they are in as new condition, they might take them back.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, Alfonso. You are quite right. I will do what I can to get better pics and background info. He likely has the receipt stored somewhere. I have no idea where he bought them but likely from Pelican. They may have some record and/or advice on hoe to help verify things. Thanks for the input and suggestions.

Here are some more detailed pix of these. I am trying to track down the original receipt but so far don't have it. I called Pelican but they have no record of selling these to Doug. Not yet sure of any warrantee either. I'll post more info when I find
some In the mean time I will discuss offers...
