Exhaust upgrades in California

Hello, I have an 82 SC with a new engine. Because I live in Los Angeles and much to my chagrin, we bolted the rusty old stock exhaust system back onto the shiny new motor. Needing to register my car, do I have any options other than OEM? Can I at least add an aftermarket sport muffler and still pass smog? Dansk, M&K, Bursch, etc.

anything after the converter should be free as it doesn't effect the smog testing. Try posting in the 911 forum as this id for mostly engine related questions (i know, confusing)

Thanks! I'll try posting in the correct spot. It's the visual part of the smog test that worries me...
