964 W/993 (1995) Intake and My Cam - Way Above My Head!
Hi,
My 3.6 engine is the M64-01. I want to use a 993 plastic intake that I have. I have a set of cams that I am looking for an opinion on. Looking to see if there are any issues? Any help would be great. Here are the details of the cam; Group B Super Cup (964.246.071.2) Stock C2 964 Intake Exhaust Intake Exhaust Lift 490 464 464 426 millimeters Duration 240 236 236 226 degrees Centers 111 112 112 112 degrees |

THis will work with out any issue in your car, it is a pretty mild cam.
The Lobe Center angles are less than stock but is not an issue. The lift numbers are in inches not mm. ie. 0.490" and 0.464" Do you know if the duration numbers you have are at 1mm or 0.050"

Thanks for the reply. I do not know the duration. They were used in the 964 Porsche Super Cup series back in the early 90’s. Possibly called Group B Super Cup cams

FWIW,...Supercup cams with those 112 deg LC's do not idle below 1200 RPM nor run well until over 1800 RPM using the OEM single-throttle intake manifolds.
I'd suggest having a pair made with 114 deg LC's if you plan on using that intake system.
