Oil squirters ever go bad?

Getting ready to assemble the lower end and wondering about testing the oil squirters. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions.

They do get clogged... Stomski makes a nice piece that works perfect for cleaning and testing them.

All they are is a spring and ball and alum seat and housing, don't go poking a wire in there unless you want to change then out.

I don't mean any disrespect but why? The orifices looked to be different sizes, I had a set of Zenith jet sizers I used to measure them. They were all the same. I sprayed brake clean into them and then used some stainless wire to probe a little deeper. That's when I discovered they were spring loaded. I switched back and forth between brake clean and engine oil in the cup of them while pumping them with a flat drift. I cleaned them once more and filled the galley to them with motor oil and hit them with the air nozzle. They all seemed to have a nice even spray pattern.

Did I get lucky or just stupid?

Thanks, Mike.

If the hole you see is clean there is nothing else you can do with a wire, be careful of the spring, if you damage it the ball will not seat and it will leak. pressurize the oil galley for that squirter, it should take a bit of pressure to open it. There is a thread somewhere on how to do it.
