I found a piece of foreign material in the sump of a customers sc when changing oil early this summer . The only thing that it remotely looks like would be possibly one of the circled areas of an int shaft. The piece is pretty chewed up, but there was zero metal in the oil, and I even cut open the filter. The motor runs flawlessly with no unusual noises, and normal oil pressure.
I wish I had a pic of the piece, but I gave it back to the customer without taking a photo.
