Easy HP

How many times have we heard "speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"

Our 1975 911s with a 3.0 CIS transplant runs ok, but another 100 hp would help.

My sense is to pull the heads, check the piston and rings, grind the valves, but while we are in there ........

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Size matters.
Go big or go home...?...LOL
The fastest way to improve HP is to enlarge the size of the engine...it also does not effect reliability as much as raising comp ratio....wild cam...etc.

Yes, increasing the displacement is generally the simplest. That said, perhaps a 3.6 is in order. If so, is it a simple/possible conversion to go with the existing CIS system? Or switch the entire system to Motronic?

a turbo, no IC, and a couple pounds of boost will make you happy for a little while

How about a 3.2L short stroke with PMOs and electronic ignition -- a friend did this - runs
like a rabbit chased by a coyote -- about 220 RWHP - short gear 901 box . . .

Regards,
