Dougherty Cams - Anyone use the DC35 profile yet

Just getting ready to buy cams for my 3.4 rebuild. Specs are as follows:

Engine is using the Mahle 98mm p/c's with the 10.3 compression, Steve Weiner rebuilt heads including titanium retainers. Intakes are the PMO EFI, exhaust is SSI, crankshaft is Turbo 74.4 mm.

Engine will be EFI, not certain as to brand but good chance it will be Motec.

Car use is street, 6 speed G50, mainly in North America but with some European/autobahn cruising.

John recommended his new cam the DC35, which is between the DC30 and DC40 in terms of spec, albeit a bit more lift (12.4 mm intake, 11.9 mm intake).

Anyone out there using this cam yet? I have read the threads on Dougherty and remain positive on what I am hearing about the quality of his work....just not really wanting to be a pioneer in this space

Dennis

Can't help you, but I run the DC30 cams and I love them. Great power band...

Have you though about SDS EFI?
They are at Springbank Airport, just west of Calgary.
You can't get much closer for customer support.
Good system, gearheads like them, I've used them lots of times, but computer geeks hate the pendant programmer.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Looked at it a number of times, but being a computer geek, I can't get my head around the programmer.....they really need to update their stuff.

One of the things I want to do is CoP, with dual ignition I am not sure if they support that anyway.....

...my thoughts may change as I progress, but at the moment it is probably Motec or TEC3

Thanks though...

Dennis

Yes it's hard to believe it can be that simple, but I can program one in about 45 minutes by myself with no dyno. After that there's not much to do unless you change something. The only issue we've found is it can be sensitive to changes in fuel quality, often it's just a matter of sticking to one brand of a known a quality source.

They can set up the system for COP, you just have to ask.

Do a search for GT2-102 cams, I believe it is the same as his DC35. It might be a little mild for your 3.4 liter and 10.3 compression. I'm building a 3.2 and going with a GE60s.
