Are stock 964 wires resistor?

I posted this in the 964 forum and got lots of looks, but no responses.

I'm getting ready to install the 1992 3.6 with PMO carbs and dual MSD boxes into my 1974. I changed the ends on the stock wires to fit the new dual plug JB Racing distributor and then read that MSD boxes can not be used with solid core wires. Does anyone know if stock wires are solid core? Better yet, anyone with a 3.6 conversion successfully running MSD boxes with stock 3.6 wires?

Mark .. how do you like the JBracing dizzy. Im prob going to go the same route. I would like to use the Brunos/Supertec Dizzy but $2500 is a bit steep vs the $1500 JB dizzy.

Bill, it is a work of art and I like how you adjust mechanical advance. First start in a couple of weeks, so I'll then know for sure if it works as great as it looks.
