Head-stud washers. Special or will any M10 do?
Missing 2 head-stud washers (the thick ones) Will any suitable size replacement do or is there something magic about the OE ones?
Thanks Sam

They need to be thick like the OE ones. They distribute the load over a larger area of the head. Maybe someone or some shop near you has old ones lying around.

There is 2 different sizes depending on the engine youre doing. especially, there is a change in the 3.0 run.

You won't find washers this thick at Home Depot or NAPA anyway.
Bruce - what sort of change was there? Thicker? Thinner? Or did the bore through the fins change and they needed to or could change diameter? |

The OD increased from 21mm for early engines to 24mm for later units.
The small washers fit late engines but large washers don't fit early engines. I would be uncomfortable using standard washers and would prefer to use hardened and ground parts. |
