I bought this 1975 2.7 that was running in a car a few weeks ago and picked it up at Hershey.
I just got it on the stand and was starting to evaluate the condition to see if it could be the basis for a build, and I found this cut under the oil cooler area. Looks like someone cut into it with a cutting wheel. I have not measured the depth yet, but it looks to be 2 or 3 16ths. ![]() ![]() ![]() Is this case shot, will this cut lead to a crack? Can it be repaired so I can use for a fresh build? Please give me your experienced opinions. Thanks John

Looks like someone needed a saws all to cut exhaust crossover off.
The cut isn't through so, for my own use, I'd build it That is the bypass area so oil pump pressure is not under the cut Bruce |
