cylinder head/cam housing

having trouble separting cylinder heads from cam housing on the 3.0 six engine winter project that carryed over to spring. anybody out that can share a working method , frist time for me at this. thanks john

You have to have all rockers out and the cam too.
I slip a screwdriver between the head and carrier, top and bottom, and twist breaking the seal.
You might put a nut back on a couple studs and tap them to get movement.

thanks all try to tap the studs with the nut on them . i got one side loose by prying . the other side is realy stuck. john

If the heads are still bolted to the motor, you need tap the cam towers loose using a big rubber mallet or brass hammer on the four corners of the cam towers
