confusion over engine size

Hi and help , I recently purchased a 1977 Porsche convertible and was told it was a3.0 litre but have been told its a 2.7 my no is 6270476 can anyone tell me?

Thats an engine number for an US 911S 2.7 1977 engine, 165 hp.

What color is the engine shroud (behind the fan)? Normally, Red = 3.0 & Green = 2.7

I hope you have some redress with the seller if a red shroud has been stuck on a 2.7L motor.
