SC Case Value
For shipping insurance purposes, anyone have any idea as to the value of an SC case these days?

I shipped my case to Ollies a few months back. I added insurance so the case could be tracked but it wasn't anything more than $1k. You aren't going to want to insure it for what it's really worth. New ones are $6700. Seems like you can get core engines for $2k-$3k. Now, if you are sending it in for machine work, it's worth a hell of a lot more on the return leg.

Shipping to Ollie's was exactly what I had in mind. 2 to 3K on the outgoing trip seems like a reasonable number. I imagine a used bare case (not entire core engine) would be somewhat less than that.

If you have a matching numbers car and engine the value can be less if you need to get a replacement case and it is not matching anymore
