Anyone have actual use of Porsche engine holder to remove & install engine...?

I am trying to get feed back from those whom may have or have used the factory tools to remove & install the engine & trans as a unit from the car...
Porsche calls the lg rectangular plate as the "engine holder" p/n 9111...this tool also needs tool "engine holder adapter" p/n 9111/1 which connects all of these 3 tools into the hole on a floor jack where the floor jacks' cup other wise goes...
the 3rs part is called " support" p/n 9111/2 which is a flat stk bar that goes perpinduclar to the engine case seam = goes under the h/e's to give support to it all...
My basic questions are:
1. does this set up allow you to angle the tool = the eng and trans while on the tool... to aid in inserting the transmission shift rod into the tunnel...?
2. does the tool provide a real stable set up...?
3. pelican sells a set up for '84-98 cars w/ the cross bar for stability, but this set up i don't think will work on earlier cars...and this pelican tool allows one to adjust the angle for the trans shift rod to go into the tunnel...the pelican tool for the earlier cars does not have the cross bar, this my not liking the tool...

Any & all input suggested...also, I have been using wood set ups on a floor jack...table lifts...the early pcar tool for '65-83 model cars but it does not have the cross bar that goes under the h/e's for the added stability...

****Maybe I should weld on or allow it to be bolted on, a cross bar, to this early pcar tool to make it like the later engine tool and call it a day...

Be careful with the older style Porsche tool. If you set it too far forward it will crack the weld next to the Iconol (sp). It works great when you set it correctly and fit the pin in your floor jack. But, no, it does not make getting the shift rod in the tunnel a "no brainer". It still requires some finesse, patiences, and a few German cuss words along the way. Have a helper handy. BTW, I use a combo of all kinds of stuff but lately a big fat low rider tranny jack with a custom made plywood support is working well.

thx DSP...the porsche tool did not look like it would allow the user to set an angle best needed to get trans input shaft going into the tunnel...
I too have been using as you cite many different tools, cuss words, a buddy if around to make the install easier...
I guess I have another project to add to the LONG list that I will never get to...

My solution for angling the transmission upwards into the center tunnel was to go out and purchase a small $18 floor jack. Since it had wheels it was better than a scissor jack for this purpose. My main floor jack has been a slim line 2 1/2 ton that was used as the main engine jack combined with a few sheets of carefully cut and stacked plywood under the engine. Went right in by myself no problem. I used a furniture dolly to roll the engine from the engine stand to the back of the car and my floor jack went right under the whole setup lifting the dolly and engine right up.

I also have a cheap engine crane that I used to lower the engine from the Pelican Parts-supplied engine holder where I assembled from. My setup allowed me to build and install the engine with no help from anyone by myself in my small low-celling garage.

thx rock...your approach is a common one and most like it...
I did some research on the factory tool, the 9111/1, 9111/2 & 9111/3 and this set up does not tilt and will set you back around $1200+ shipping...
I am going to check out the wilding set up further to see if his later engine model features can be incorporated into the earlier product he makes = a bolt to tilt the end & a cross bar to add stability to the set up...
