High Compression Port Size
I'm in the middle of rebuilding my engine for my 2.4T. At the moment its stripped back and are working on what to do. I have a set of 86mm 9.5:1 P&C's, E cam, and the MFI pump is being reworked to E spec. My question is, and I have looked on here but find different answers, can i run standard T heads, TB's and Stacks, i.e. 29/32? And what effect will this have on the engine? I was going to go 32/32 but money is running out!
I really would appreciate a definitive answer on this! Thanks Ads

Sure, no problem at all.
The "E" engines used standard "T" heads so you would simply have a nice torquey "E" engine when you are done.

Thanks Steve for the quick answer!
I always thought E's had I32 E32 ports, just goes to show you learn something everyday!

I am building a very similar engine.
2.45 liters with 86mm P&C at 9.5 CR with DC-30 cams. I was advised to run 34 mm ports and throttle bodies. I think the 2.4 T heads had 30 mm inlet ports while the E had 32 mm ports and the S had 36 mm.

Thanks for the reply.
What effect will 30mm inlet have in the overall grand scheme of things? Lower where the torque comes in? (and off!)?
