993 Cam question
I have an '81SC track car with a 1995 993 stock motor except for headers, cold air kit and chip. the car runs very well but looking to get a little more hp without building a race motor. low maintenance and high reliability are priorities. I have been looking at the Dougherty SS cams and would like to get opinions on real HP improvements and any increased maintenance requirements
pm if you have any comments you do not want to share or email direct to slohnd52@yahoo.com thank you |

Since you are limited by intake & piston design constrictions, the biggest cam you can use with these engines are the SS cams. HP gains are modest, but thats simply the reality.
Maintenance is the same since the RPM range is not extended.

Bigger push on the top end of the RPM range.
