After reading half a dozen threads on a good way to CC my heads through the plug hole, they all seem to mention greasing the rings to stop the seepage from the fluid used to CC (IPA).
Im a bit worried about greasing these rings. Can I use lubrathane poly lube to grease them? Afterwards just remove them from the cylinder and clean up and re-apply a thin oiling (as I did on initial install?) TIA

Yep. I use red bearing grease. Cleaned them afterwards. No issues. Never gone the plug hole route. Just ccd the heads then the cylinders. Easier IMHO.

Thanks for the clarification. I dont have a plexiglass disc to use for cc with the other methods, but I do have a nice fill tube I can use for the plug hole measurement.
