Distributor timing question

Ran my 2.4 for the first time after compote rebuild. Have rotated the distributor counter clockwise as far as it will go and can only get about 20 degrees advance at 4000 rpm. Looks like I need to turn the distributor one more gear tooth to get more advance

Which way do I turn it?? CW or CCW??

CCW 1 tooth, which is 30 degrees, because you want more than youre getting. Then reset the dist. adjustment clockwise close to the other end of adjustment. There is 12 teeth on the bottom of the distributor for one rotation=30 degrees.
