Attaching crank to flywheel 3.6 rebuild
Im about to attach the rods to the crank and to stabilize the crank I wanted to bolt these two up but there is a pin on crank that wont fit into the flywheel so it wont sit flush. Is this pin supposed to fit in the flywheel hole? Thanks

There should be a pin hole in the flywheel that mates and orients the flywheel properly. Is this a new flywheel? Also, is this a 964 or 993 engine. It makes a difference.

964 flywheel and crank. the pin seems to be slightly too large for the orientation hole. thanks

the pin is kind of tight. You should be able to get it started and snug it down with a few bolts.

thanks I'll try that I was laughing to myself as I failed at step one of the p-fix-it video which is attaching the con rods to the crank (sitting upright attached to the flywheel).
