2.7 E Weber setup
I have been running this carb setup for about 6 months, and the car ran great, or at least what I think. Until I did some research and found out that the engine might be running lean.
CURRENT CARB SETUP Venturis: 32 Main Jets: 125 Idle Jets: 60 Emulsion: F26 Air Correction: 180 MY ENGINE 2.7 E Cam 9.5:1 SSI M and K Exhuast The setup that ************ recommended was to run this, but I think the Air Correction seems low. Thoughts? Venturis: 34 Main Jets: .145 Idle Jets: 60 Emulsion: F3 Air Correction: .140 Thanks |

Put 160 A/C's in there and you'll be good.

Steve,
Do you think 140 is too small? |

I installed this combo
Venturis: 34 Main Jets: .145 Idle Jets: 60 Emulsion: F3 Air Correction: .140 and the car felt very sluggish, so I decided to put in the AC at 180 and it improved but it doesn't have that "POP" from the previous setup Venturis: 32 Main Jets: 125 Idle Jets: 60 Emulsion: F26 Air Correction: 180 I think I am going to go back to this and see if I can get that "POP" back. Does anyone think they might know why it might not have that pop? |

I reinstalled this setup
Venturis: 32 Main Jets: 125 Idle Jets: 60 Emulsion: F26 Air Correction: 180 and the car runs a lot richer and it has better acceleration then the recommended setup. How is that possible? Venturis: 34 Main Jets: .145 Idle Jets: 60 Emulsion: F3 Air Correction: .140 |

The pop or back fire through the intakes usually means you're running lean.

I think he meant figurative pop, like responsiveness.
The smaller 32 venturi gives a stronger vacuum signal to the main jets, pulling more fuel earlier in the revs. So even though the main jet is smaller, it is providing more fuel.
