Connecting Rod bolts, recommendation ?
What connecting Rod bolts do you recommend to use in a stock 3.2 engine ?
New Porsche original, ARP or Raceware ? To install them do I need to measure the stretch or just with the torque figure is enough? |

I used ARP on my 3.0 rebuild...I would highly recommend the stretch gauge. ARP lists a "recommended torque" IF you do not have access to a stretch gauge. I found that using the stretch gauge yielded different torque values on different bolts. All close, but not right on the recommended torque value.

If you are not tracking it extensively, Porsche are fine - they held together so far for you.
The extra insurance/expense only warranted if you are pushing the envelope. Alan
