Anyone know an alternative to PCG fuel line clamps?
On CIS-equipped cars, there are several "vacuum hoses" with 22mm O.D. / 18mm I.D. Most of the vac hoses use "fuel injection" style screw-and-nut clamps, like the one pictured below:
![]() This style of clamp is readily available on the aftermarket, most notably, the high quality zinc-plated and stainless steel versions available from ABA/Norma. The ABA clamps are a fraction of the cost of PCG parts, usually at 1/3rd or more cheaper, which adds up when you're replacing every single hose and clamp in the engine bay! The problem I'm having is I can only find these up to 18mm diameter. Does anyone know of a source that carries larger sizes in this style?

Thanks for the idea. I had considered ear clamps, but unfortunately, they end up being expensive AND inconvenient because you have to destroy them anytime something needs to be moved, changed, disassembled, etc.

Assorted Oetiker clamps........
Quote:
Just bought a 125-pc 2-ear clip assortment (Swordfish brand) from Amazon for less than $10 and some brands are even less. I paid about $0.35 each depending on the size at my local hydraulic shop plus have to drive several miles to buy a couple of these clamps. I end up spending more on fuel than the cost of the clamps. So I decided to buy an assortment and save me time and money. BTW, I am cheap and frugal too. Tony |
