First, great looking car, nice wheels.

Don't take it to some "mechanic" and start throwing money at it, yet.

Get to know the car, drive it. Fix the small things that affect the safety and drive-ability.

There are a ton of threads here about oil leaks, spend some time searching. If you can post some pictures of the motor, especially the bottom, there are those who can offer help here. The air cooled motors will typically have some small oil leaks, which are more of a nuisance than anything else. In your case you need to investigate the source. Most likely an easy fix.

Many Porsche shops will try to sell a "re-seal". Once the motor is out, then it's a top end, then a whole rebuild for giant $$$$$s.

BTW there is a 964 forum, a post there may be helpful.

Again, take some time searching this forum, buy some books, and then decide what direction you want to go with your car.

Thank you for the advice. I will take my time to drive, research and eventually construct a personal Edition of a 911.

Just drive it

oil and speedy dry are cheap

anything else with 964s aint

never keep your reciepts in one place
