Best engine pics of the year !

Thanks guys. Can't wait to get it in and running.

Jameel-
Did you ever get this car running. I’m curious about how the piston upgrade went. Also, did you have any issue with the glyco bearings? I’m rebuilding my ‘78 911 3.0 now. MattR |
yes, following to find out too..

Check out the last couple pages of this post. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/936456-broken-head-stud-feeling-sort-sick-right-now.html
Short answer. Yep, got it running. Put 7k miles on last year. Redid the suspension over this winter. Can't wait to get it out again and drive. My right tensioner line is leaking a little. I think it needs a new o-ring where it passes through the chain cover. Easy fix. |
Sub'd.
Side note: Those are some seriously worn bearings for a 3.0. |
Great thread, awesome pics, & very valuable Input from all. Very inspiring.
Question Did you fab the yellow engine stand? |

Jameel after reading through both build threads & letting it simmer for 24hrs...I've begun jotting down a build plan on paper.
Love the beefy stand, may have to borrow your design when I get that point. Thanks again for your contribution to the community |
Nice thread. What do you shoot with?
