Vacuum lines......

Matt,

The vacuum lines shown in the picture look good but they are not the conventional way they usually are connected. The decel valve/cruise control and distributor advance connections are interchanged. But they should be OK if they are connected to a vacuum port (below butterfly valve).

Why is the distributor retard not utilized? You are masking a unknown problem with your distributor by eliminating it. Are you having any problem with the engine?

Thanks Tony. I'll switch the connections to the TB so they are on the correct nipple.

On the distributor retard...the engine is out right now for a rebuild. I did a cleaning and replaced some items on the distributor. I found that the vacuum advance pod works, however the vacuum retard did not. Since the retard is for emissions only (and I no longer have a CAT) I figured it was a waste of money to replace the pod (which is hard to find and $$$ if you do it seems).
