Replacing rod bolts ?

Any suggestions on proper install of the ARP bolts. I plan to clean the rods, measure the bore torqued with the OEM bolts, install ARP torque a few times and measure again. Someone give me some advice on how best to clean the big end? Would green 600 grit Scotchbrite by hand in solvent tank be to aggressive?
Thanks
David

Why bother with the OEM bolts? Just torque the ARP's and measure. The scotchbrite is ok, they shouldn't need much. Or just take them to a shop and have them rebuilt. Give them the ARP's with the rods. It's a good idea to use a stretch gauge for the final install, it eliminates any effect of friction on the torque.
